killing the shortcut virus

now a days most pc is getting affected by the new created shortcut virus the virus is copying itself in the system registry.

whatever files you are copying in pendrive it is creating shortcut of it.

i will say it is not a virus it is a visual basic script which is copying itself in the registry keys and causing this problem

here is the procedure to kill it

press ctrl+alt+delete

then open process tab

close the windows ws script process

then press start button on desktop

type %temp%

and delete all the files there it may be that one file will not be deleted which is a log file

all others file should be deleted

then press window key and R together

type msconfig

then go to startup tab

and disable the process called ws script of windows or any other process which file you could not delete in the temp folder

then again press window key and R together and type regedit

and then go to hkey current user then software then microsoft then windows then run folder click on run folder and delete any registry key having a .vbs file extension or having a number like 333322 or any other random number

format your pendrive by right clciking and choosing format.

mind it dont use quick format

thats all restart and enjoy because u won over a virus without using antivirus.
